KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI
Means "something happens"..its a hindi romantic comedy film released in India and the United kingdom in October 16th 1988..it was a very sucessful movie in India and abroad and received several awards like the best film award, Bollywood movie award and the National film award..the story goes like this..
Rahul Khanna (Shahrukh Khan) and the tomboy Anjali Sharma (Kajol) are students at St. Xavier's College. They are best friends.

One day Tina Malhotra (Rani Mukerji), the principal's daughter, enrolls at St. Xavier's. She comes from London, and she is beautiful, feminine, and sophisticated; she is the antithesis of Anjali. Rahul falls hard for Tina as soon as he meets her and actively pursues her..

A love triangle begins to develop.. Anjali is finally motivated to tell Rahul outright that she loves him, however, before she can, Rahul confesses to her his love for Tina, leaving Anjali's heart broken. Anjali leaves college suddenly, despite Rahul and Tina's attempts to convince her to stay..She admits that she may never return... They exchange tearful goodbyes, and Rahul is devastated. Anjali never calls or writes.
Tina and Rahul marry and have a daughter but, due to complications, Tina dies shortly after childbirth. Before she dies, she makes Rahul promise to name their daughter Anjali. She leaves her daughter a series of eight letters, to be given to her on each of her birthdays until she turns eight. Every year, on Anjali's birthday, she is given a letter and hears her mother's loving wishes for her; these letters become treasured memories of the mother she never knew.
In the eighth and last letter, the little girl is told about her namesake. Where Rahul had been blind, Tina had noticed Anjali's emotions and pitied her deeply. Tina had always felt guilty for coming between what she recognised as true love. In the letter, Tina instructs her daughter to find the older Anjali and reunite her with Rahul...
It is revealed that the older Anjali has changed considerably from her tomboyish college days and is now a beautiful grown woman, engaged to be married to Aman Mehra (played by Salman Khan). Though Anjali confesses privately that she doesn't love her fiancé and will never love anyone but Rahul, she is set to marry Aman within a week. When little Anjali hears of this, she begins to pray. Miraculously, her prayers are answered, and the wedding is postponed to December. The wedding date arrives, and a deeply unsettled Anjali prepares to be married, which would mean losing Rahul forever. Rahul and young Anjali attend the wedding, both of them clearly devastated. Rahul goes to see Anjali before she descends the stairs and, as a result, Anjali gets cold feet. Aman drags her down the steps to the wedding after realising he'd be coming between a fated love and decides to step aside to let them be together at last. As the ecstatic Rahul and Anjali get married, a beaming vision of Tina appears and gives the thumbs up to little Anjali who worked hard to fulfill her late mothers wish and give her dad his love back into his life again.

Rahul is the adopted son of Yashvardhan "Yash" Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan) and his wife Nandini (Jaya Bachchan). Their biological son, Rohan, is younger than Rahul by nine years. Yash is a rich and famous business man in India. He is very proud of his family's status and traditions, and instills in his sons a great respect for their elders.
When Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) returns home from university in England, he meets and falls deeply in love with a poor girl from the Chandni Chowk region of Delhi named Anjali (Kajol), who lives with her father and her little sister Pooja.
Yash decides to arrange Rahul's marriage to his affluent friend's daughter, Naina (Rani Mukerji).

Rahul, however, breaks the engagement and admits that he wants to marry Anjali; this angers Yash, who berates Rahul for not considering Anjali's social status and for disobeying his father. Rahul, horrified that he has hurt his father, apologizes to Yash and promises to do whatever is asked of him. He goes to tell Anjali that he cannot marry her, only to find that her father has died suddenly. Unable to bear the thought of Anjali and Pooja alone and unsupported in the world, Rahul marries Anjali on the spot.

When he brings her home, his enraged father disowns him, and blames Rahul's actions on the fact that he is not of Raichand blood. Rahul, believing that Yash no longer loves him, shares an emotional goodbye with his mother and disappears with Anjali and Pooja.

Ten years later, on his way home from university for Diwali, Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) stops to meet his maternal and paternal grandmothers and overhears them discussing the split; upon confrontation, they tell him the whole story. When he goes to his parents' home, some of Anjali's old friends tell him that Rahul has settled his family in London. Vowing to bring Rahul and Anjali home and repair everyone's broken relationships, Rohan tells his parents that he wants to go to London to study.. In London, Rahul has started his own business and lives comfortably with Anjali, their nine-year-old son Krish. Upon arrival, Rohan finds that Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) is also a student at the university he attends. He tells her who he is and asks her to help him bring the family back together.

Zooni Ali Beg (Kajol) is a blind Kashmiri girl who travels without her parents for the first time with a dance troupe to Delhi to perform in a ceremony for Independence Day. On her journey, she meets Rehan Khan (Aamir Khan), a Casanova tour guide who flirts with her and she cannot resist falling in love with him..

and he takes her on a private tour of New Delhi. They share what both seem to consider their first and only night together before she has to leave. However, on the day of her departure, Rehan slips into the train and carries Zooni away, seemingly signifying the beginning of their life together. With Rehan's encouragement, Zooni undergoes surgery to reverse her blindness. Rehan leaves to pick up Zooni's parents from the train station, promising to be there when she opens her eyes.

When Zooni does come out of surgery, her parents are there, but Rehan is missing. A terrible accident has occurred, seemingly orchestrated by terrorists. Rehan is presumed dead, and the mourning, guilt-ridden Zooni returns to Kashmir.
Seven years later, the terrorists are about to pull off a huge strike as a part of their plan. With parts stolen from India, Pakistan and Russia, they hope to build a nuclear explosive device. This device is capable of destroying a whole city—New Delhi or Islamabad—five million people within a ten mile radius. They will use it to pressure both countries into leaving Kashmir. A critical part is missing: the detonator or electronic "trigger" device. A still-living Rehan, who had faked his death to cover up his tracks after the accident (which he had caused) is to bring in this trigger..
Exhausted, wounded, and incommunicado with a storm building, Rehan seeks shelter in a remote house. He is shocked to find that the house belongs to Zooni, her father, and Zooni's young son, whom she has named Rehan after his supposedly deceased father. Neither of them recognize him: Zooni had never seen Rehan, as she was blind when they met, and her father had never met him, having not come to Delhi until the day of Rehan's supposed death. The child Rehan is very taken with the man, whom he calls "the dead man" , and the adult Rehan likewise develops an affection for the little boy. Later, Rehan admits to his identity, though he cannot explain what he has done for the seven years since they parted, or why he played dead. Nevertheless, he still loves Zooni and she eventually realizes that she too loves him, and they marry in a simple ceremony performed by her father.
Soon afterward, through a TV broadcast, Zooni and her father separately discover that Rehan is the terrorist for whom a manhunt is in progress. Her father tries to stop Rehan, taking him to an Army friend's house so he can use his radio transmitter and then attempting to shoot him. Instead, Rehan, determined not to be discovered, accidentally pushes Ali off a cliff to his death, then uses the radio to contact the IKF. The IKF tell him they will send a pick-up helicopter the next morning. Then, when the army officer discovers Rehan in his home, Rehan kills him too.
Zooni finds her father dead, floating by under the ice in the river near which Zooni and her son are playing. When Rehan returns home, and tells her that her father is at the army officer's house drinking rum, she suspects that Rehan killed him. She takes the trigger to the army friend's house, and upon finding the colonel dead, radios the army. Tyagi apprises her of the seriousness of the danger, and the risk to millions of lives should the IKF get the device. Before the police or army arrives, Rehan finds her, and tries to convince her to give him the "trigger" so he can give it to his grandfather, who is arriving by helicopter. He promises her that no one will actually set off the bomb ("It's just a threat") and tells her this is the only way they can have a happy future together. He refuses to listen to any of her protests or begging. Grieved, but determined to stop him, Zooni runs out of the house after him and shoots him, crying "I love you, Rehan".. They collect the trigger as Rehan dies in Zooni's arms.
The final scene shows Zooni and little Rehan laying flowers on the graves of Rehan (Sr.) and Mr. Ali Beg. Rehan asks if his father was a bad man, and Zooni tells him that he was doing what he felt was right. Rehan kisses his father's grave and tells him that he loves him.

He discovers that his future brother-in-law, the vicious, homicidal Tony (Nick Brown), is about to marry a Mexican woman named Natasha (Bárbara Mori), whom J knows as Linda, the last of the immigrant women he married. On the night before "Natasha" and Tony's wedding, Linda and J spend a romantic but chaste night
, humorously agreeing to a "divorce." A jealous, gun-wielding Tony, however, arrives at her apartment while J is there, and after he hits her, Linda impulsively knocks him out with a heavy object while he tussles with J. Linda and J go on the run toward Mexico, with Tony and police in pursuit. They are helped by a friend of J, Robin (Anand Tiwari). Robin gives them fake passports and IDs so that they can go wherever they want. In the following week, J and Linda get married in Mexico,

and on the day of their wedding they come back to their house. There, Robin comes to give them the passports and is unexpectedly shot by Tony and his men. Linda and J escape, but J is shot in the process. In a car chase, Linda stops the car at a train, and puts J aboard it, and drives off. Back to the present, J meets with Jamaal, one of Bob's employees, and is ambushed. Jamaal is killed, but not before telling J of Linda's whereabouts. J kills off all of Tony's men, and then beats Tony by smashing his face into the car door, until he is shot by Gina. He drives off to the location where Jamaal said Linda was last seen. It is shown that after J was put aboard the train, Linda was ambushed on a cliff and sent J the text message saying "I'm going...Sorry, Forget me". She drives off of the cliff, killing herself by drowning. J cries, and then smiles, jumping off the cliff as well. Finally, he is reunited with Linda under the ocean, and they embrace through death.

Farhan Qureshi (R. Madhavan), Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi), Ranchoddas Shamaldas Chanchad "Rancho" (Aamir Khan) are three engineering students who share a room in the residence of Imperial College of Engineering (ICE). Farhan is studying engineering to pursue his father's wishes over his own wish — to become a wildlife photographer. Raju is studying to raise his family's fortunes. On the other hand, Rancho pursues the study of engineering for his passion in machines and devices. Rancho believes that the success in studying is not achieved by solely memorizing the materials and definitions given by the textbooks or professors, but by understanding and applying the concepts. However, this different approach is sneered by the faculties, including the dean of the college, Professor Viru "Virus" Shahastrabuddhe (Boman Irani). In contrast, Virus' favourite student, Chatur "Silencer" Ramalingam, (Omi Vaidya) believes in mindless memorizing over understanding, in order to reach his goals of corporate and social status. Meanwhile, Rancho falls in love with Virus' medical student daughter Pia (Kareena Kapoor)

when he, Raju and Farhan accidentally crash her sister's wedding banquet in attempt to obtain a free meal, which infuriates Virus. Virus labels Rancho and his friends as "idiots" and attempts to break up Rancho's friendship with Farhan and Raju.

MY NAME IS KHAN..
among the highest grossing films of 2010 in india..and the most expensive aswell..it was debuted in february 10th 2010 and has been a great sucess to the film industry in india..the most fascinating story..
Rizwan Khan (Shahrukh Khan) is a Muslim child who grew up with his brother Zakir (Jimmy Shergill) and his mother Razia Khan (Zarina Wahab) in a middle class family in the Borivali section of Mumbai. Rizwan is different from other children; However, he has certain gifts, particularly a special ability to repair mechanical things. His difference leads to special tutoring from a reclusive scholar and extra attention from his mother, all which leads to a heightened level of jealousy from his brother Zakir, who eventually leaves his family for a life in the United States.

Despite this resentment, as an adult Zakir sponsors Rizwan to come and live with him in San Francisco after the death of their mother. It is at this time that Zakir's wife, Haseena (Sonya Jehan) diagnoses Rizwan with Asperger's syndrome. Rizwan also begins to work for Zakir and in the process he meets a Hindu woman, Mandira (Kajol) and her young son, Sameer or Sam (Yuvaan Makaar), from a previous marriage. Mandira is a hairdresser by profession. Despite Zakir's hostility to the match, they marry and settle down in the fictional town of Banville, where both Mandira and Sameer take Rizwan's last name as their own.

The Khan's perfect existence gets disrupted, however, after the 11 September attacks on New York City. Mark goes to cover the war in Afghanistan and dies there. At the same time, the Khan family begins to experience post 9–11 prejudice in their community and Reese begins to turn against Sam as well. One afternoon, an argument between them turns into a racially motivated schoolyard fight between Sameer and a number of older students. Reese tries to stop the fight but is held back and Sam dies from his injuries. A shattered Mandira blames Rizwan for his death stating that Sameer "died only because his name was Khan." She then tells Rizwan that she no longer wants to be with him. When he asks her what he has to do to be together with Mandira, she sarcastically tells him that he has to tell the people of the United States and the President that his name is Khan and that he is not a terrorist.

Rizwan takes Mandira's request seriously, and thus sets out on a journey that takes him from one US state to another, in order to first meet President George W. Bush and later the new President-elect.

During this quest, he travels to Wilhemina, Georgia and befriends Mama Jenny and her son Joel. Later, in Los Angeles, he prays in a Mosque and overhears violent rhetoric from Faisal Rahman (Arif Zakaria). He reports this to the FBI but there is no response at that moment. Later, while waiting in a crowd to meet President Bush and repeating again and again, "My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist," Rizwan is arrested and placed in a prison by police who misinterpret his statement thinking he said he was a terrorist.
While in the prison he is interrogated as a terrorist suspect and meets the psychiatrist Radha (Sheetal Menon) who believes he is innocent. He is later released after a media campaign by some Indian student reporters Raj (Arjun Mathur) and Komal (Sugandha Garg) and Bobby Ahuja (Parvin Dabas), who prove his innocence by unearthing his attempts to inform the FBI about Faisal Rahman. After his release, he returns to hurricane-hit Wilhemina to help Mama Jenny and her son. His efforts attract media attention and numerous Muslims come to help as well..
With Mandira's help, Rizwan survives and meets President-elect Barack Obama who tells him: "Your name is Khan and you are not a terrorist". The film concludes with Rizvan and Mandira going back home.
